Account (user name and password)

The user name and the corresponding password are the key access data to important online services of JLU.

The user name usually starts with a "j_" followed by a combination of letters and numbers.

How do I get my account?

After enrolment, you will receive an email and you can view your matriculation number in the GUDE portal. This is important in order to activate your account.

You will also receive an email to the email address you provided when you applied or enrolled. Please follow the instructions in the email to activate your account - stating your matriculation number - and receive your username and password. You will then need this data to use the Deutschland-Semesterticket and other services (see table on the next page).

The password can and should be changed at the latest if it is suspected that someone else may have obtained the password. This can be done in the self-service portal IAM. You can find further information about this in the email considering your account activation. For your own safety you should choose a secure password which cannot be guessed easily. Please note that some systems will “know” the new password only at the beginning of the next full hour. In this case, the old password will keep its validity until then.
