Creating posters to present scientific data
Header
Create guides in the header area and divide it into six equal sections: For the rest of the design process, you only need the guides in the middle and at the edge of each of the two outer sixths. You can delete the other guides.
First, place the title of your poster in the middle space and align it with the centreline (not if you’ve chosen a left- or right-aligned heading, of course).
Align the title so that it has the same distance to the top as the addresses have to the bottom (see second figure). Now place the list of authors and their institute address(es). Now possible logos (institute, university, sponsors, etc.) can be placed. | |
Side note: Don’t forget the corporate design
If the corporate design has specifications for the placement of a logo of your institution, place the logo accordingly.
In the example, the design specifications meant the university logo had to be placed centrally at the top of the page.
